The party's in North York โ and it's home for us, so this isn't a guess.
Hotels along Yonge Street near Sheppard are on the subway line, one stop from Mel Lastman Square. The lively stretch of Korean and other Asian restaurants continues north through North York Centre toward Finch, easily reached on foot from some hotels or within one to two subway stops.
A direct Line 1 subway ride south of North York, generally around 15โ25 minutes depending on the exact venue โ no transfers. More restaurant and hotel options here too.
Toronto's answer to a quiet luxury neighborhood โ boutique shopping, patios, a calmer pace. About 20 minutes by subway to North York Centre; driving can run anywhere from 20 to 40+ minutes depending on traffic.
The classic Toronto stay โ walkable, dense with hotels at every price point, full of things to do the day before or after. Generally 30โ45 minutes to central North York by subway; allow longer if you're driving.
Funky and fun โ dress up, but leave the stiffness at home.
For everyone: it's a celebration, not a ceremony. Fabrics and colors that feel like early autumn: rust, terracotta, olive, warm neutrals โ or whatever makes you happy.
A short list, not an itinerary โ pick what sounds good.
